Every year, about five graduates of the Tubahumurize Sewing and Embroidery School join the Tubahumurize Cooperative, which is housed at the Association Headquarters.

There are about 25 women members of the cooperative. Together, they design and produce quilts and sew and embroider a wide range of other beautiful handicrafts. Products are sold by Tubahumurize staff members and volunteers overseas.

The co-operative provides stable, safe employment and reduces the very real pressure on these young women to seek out riskier forms of income generation.

We invite you to view the our products online or to drop by the Co-op Shop in person to see our beautiful handicrafts and to meet the wonderful women who create them…
