We are thrilled to have a partnership with Abraham Konga Collections, a beautiful jewelry shop located in Kimihurura, Kigali. Abraham and his team have selected their favourite Tubahumurize products to sell in the shop, including our jewelry bags, yoga totes, circle scarves, wine bags, scrunchies, and new headbands.
Abraham is no ordinary jeweller. In his shop you will find a beautiful selection of necklaces, earrings, rings, and bracelets, but you would probably never guess the method behind his magic: recycling. Abraham believes in taking something that would have been waste and turning it into something beautiful. He makes his jewelry from melted down padlocks, metal from cooking pots, glass, cow bone, and cow horn. When you see the final product, it is hard to believe where it comes from.
The shop in Kimihurura has only been there for two months, but Abraham has been making jewelry for the past six years. What began as simply making a pair of earrings to keep busy while selling baskets has since blossomed into a passion and thriving business. Abraham now works with 11 cooperatives in Rwanda and stresses the importance of practicing fair trade.
His favourite Tubahumurize products are our circle scarves and spacious yoga totes, both of which can currently be found in his shop. If you are in Kigali, we would highly recommend a visit. It is open all week from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. The combination of his jewelry collection and selection of Tubahumurize products make it the perfect spot for finding gifts, keepsakes, and special treats for yourself!
